Wait, what? We’re in week 6 of the One Room Challenge? How did this happen? I may or may not be a little panicked. We still have a lot to do and I’m waiting on several key pieces…wallpaper! Oh my goodness, I hope we can finish in time! Let’s do a little recap and then discuss what we accomplished this week.
Mood Board
Let’s take a trip down memory lane to remember what we’re trying to do in this laundry room. I’m thinking maybe I was too ambitious with what I wanted to do. 😬 We can only work on this project during the weekend, but all the yard work is calling. Anyway, off topic….so let’s take a look at the mood board. I added the art pieces that we will be using from Minted and the laundry carts from Steele Canvas. I cannot wait to style this space!
Painting
I was able to get the whole tower painted! Andy cut the shelves and they are painted. I painted the face of the laundry surround cabinet (still have the top to do). All the beadboard and trim is done, as well…. but I still need to paint it! 😬 Send help! The laundry tower and the W/D surround are all painted Pigeon (color matched with SW in a satin finish) by Farrow and Ball. The upper cabinets will also be this color. It changes every time I see it….it looks different.
I also was able to get the shelves painted and mostly installed. I have one left to do in this pic. We need to add all the trim pieces, too.
What’s Next?
Well, there’s quite a bit left to do! We still need to make the upper cabinets. We need the wallpaper to arrive so we can install that. We need the shelves to arrive. And I’m waiting on the laundry carts to arrive, as well. Oh, and the jewelry for the room…. the custom light. Yikes! Cross all the things and say all the prayers for us to get it done! 🤞🏼🙏🏼
Until next time Treasure Hunters! And be sure to check out all the other projects on the One Room Challenge Blog!
