I am slightly panicking about the Spring One Room Challenge. We have SO MUCH TO DO! 😂 I feel like this time around, I really procrastinated. Like a lot. But we did have some delays in products and shipping times. So, this is where we are. I’m happy to say I have most of the room painted! And I love the paint color. I was unsure at first, but I’m glad I went with my gut. So, let’s get to it!
Where We Started
Our Master Bathroom was not in bad shape. But after adding moody wallpaper to the water closet, I had to give the rest of the space a refresh to match. Our original paint color was SW Silver Strand. And it served us well as a neutral green/blue/gray. My main issue with the paint color was how it looked with our vanity counters. I hate the counters! I wanted a white counter and what I got was a blue/gray one (and not a good blue). I did like the paint color with our vanity stain…which is a weathered wood color.
The Chosen Color
Drum Roll, please…..
We went with Tonester’s Palace Ink. It is a such a unique and beautiful color. And it’s soooooo moody! I have been wanting to a pink paint color somewhere in our house and I thought the master bathroom would be the perfect room! The first time I saw Palace Ink on their Instagram, I knew I had to use it somewhere in our house. It’s so beautiful! In some lighting, it looks pinker and in other, it looks more purple and even maroon/burgundy. I think it looks amazing with the wallpaper. I painted all the walls and the built-in cabinet. I left the trim the same color (color matched to our windows).
Conclusion
So, what do we have left? A lot! We have to still add the new counters and then install the faucets (we’re keeping our same faucets). We have to tile the vanity wall. We have to move the lighting on one of the vanity walls (Andy’s side is done). I have to do all the touch up paint. I have a lot of the hardware still to install. Oh, we have to install 4 more lights. And then, of course all the cleanup and finishing touches! Phew! What do you think? Will we get it done in 1 week? Come back next week and find out! You can always follow along in my IG stories for all the behind-the-scenes action. Until next time Treasure Hunter!
