Moody and Modern Cottage Master Bathroom Mood Board

I cannot believe I’m participating in my third Spring One Room Challenge! I decided to do a smaller project this year. No huge renovations, no real demo. This project will include a lot of cosmetic changes, which can still create a huge impact. I will show you the before pics and my mood board for the Master Bathroom. Keep in mind, the mood board may change, depending on paint colors and finishes that I finalize. So, let’s get to it!

The Before

Our bathroom is really a nice space. My hugest regret is not having a linen closet or some kind of linen storage. I purchased our current storage tower off of FB marketplace year ago. It has worked okay, but it could be so much better. It’s just not enough space for all the linens and bathroom necessities.

I do love having two windows in our bathroom space. But I would like some beautiful window coverings to add a more luxury feel. I also love having separate vanities. It’s the best! I absolutely hate our counters and sinks. I’ve hated them since we purchased them. If it’s in the budget, I’d love to switch them out. We currently have shiplap behind our mirrors. I originally attempted to do a tile like stencil. I’m not cut out to do stenciling. It’s not for me. So we added the shiplap and I’m just kind of over it. I’d love to do a tile behind the mirror. We shall see.

The biggest change will probably be paint. We currently have silver strand for the walls in the bathroom. It’s a very muted green/gray/blue color and I have loved it. I’m really loving more color lately, and I want to be very dramatic about it. We have a very bold wallpaper in our water closet, and I’d love to highlight a moody, dramatic color from it.

I can’t wait to dive into this project! The paint is going to make all the difference and I know I’ll have a hard time picking a color.
