Are teen boys the hardest to buy for? Maybe. If you know one like my son, he probably wants electronics. Or video games. This list has some tech gear, but other things are included that they may not “want”, but they “need”. So, let’s get to it!
1. A Soft Hoodie
This is a staple for all teen/college boys. My son basically lives in a hoodie. He wears a hoodie instead of a coat. Why? I have no idea. But that how they roll. American Eagle hoodies are great quality and super soft.
2. Polo Shirts
Boys need nice shirts. They may not purchase these items, but they need them. A good polo is a staple for boys. Luckily, my son has to wear a polo every day at school. But American Eagle polos are great quality and they come in so many colors.
3. Lego Kits
Legos are still a good gift. My son loves this one. One year I bought him the Statue of Liberty kit and he (secretly) loved it. Teen boys need toys too, sometimes. Legos are always a great gift idea.
4. Drone
Another tech item my son absolutely loves. He took his drone on our Florida vacation and got some amazing footage over the ocean. This is a mini drone and it’s portable. No license is required with this one because it’s lightweight. This is such a cool gift idea.
5. Magnetic Dart Board
Save your walls and get a magnetic dart board. This one is so cool because it’s backlit. I love the modern vibe; it will fit in with your decor or his college dorm room. A great gift to get friends and family together.
6. Traveling Duffle Bag
He needs a quality traveling bag. This one is great because it has a couple of openings for easy access. It has a convertible strap drop. This bag also features a separate shoe storage compartment. Throw away his old gym bag and get him this more aesthetic travel bag.
7. Traveling Charger
My son approves of this item. I actually bought it for myself and he just took it. 😆 This charger is so handy, it will charge his phone, ear buds, and watch. For any non-apple users, be sure to get this one. 🙋🏻♀️
8. Swiss Army Knife
Every boy needs one of these. And Swiss Army is probably the best. They make several different styles. I think this one is the most basic. But it still has 7 essential functions. Swiss Army knives are definitely built to last.
9. Portable Battery
This battery pack is compatible for iPhone and Android. It’s slim and comes with its own carrying case. It also has the cords already attached to it. It also comes in several different colors. Perfect stocking stuffer too.
10. Tool Kit
Every boy needs their own tool kit. This one has so many essential tools even a cordless drill. This set would be a great gift for the boy in college. Or even the high school boy. My son has several of his own tools and I think this set would be great for him.
11. A Slim Puffer Jacket
He probably needs a new coat. If he’s like my son, he wears a hoodie instead of a jacket. I love my Columbia jacket, it’s slim but still very warm. This jacket is water resistant and has their patented insulation to keep him warm.
12. Oculus Quest 3
The ultimate gift. I’m sure this is on my son’s list. He already has the Quest 2 and loves it. The Quest 3 is the most powerful one that they make. It also is all color. My son says, “you can be doing the dishes and watch You Tube at the same time”. 😆
13. Joggers
He’s going to live in these. American Eagle Joggers are my son’s favorite. I love that they come in tall sizes. This is the style that I always get him. They come in multiple colors, as well.
14. New Sneakers
I don’t think you can go wrong with a good pair of sneakers. I hear that this pair is a great for the boys who want to be comfortable, but also be on trend. I love the white color too, but they come in other colors.
15. Air Tags
Just like the teen girls, the teen boys are going to need these. Maybe even more so than the girls. My son still can’t find his spare car keys. I should have bought him more than one. Of course, because we’re an Android family, I purchased these instead. 😉
16. JBL Speaker
This is surprisingly a very powerful speaker. My son loves his. It’s portable and has great sound. It also come in smaller sizes. It also comes in multiple colors. This will be a winner for all teen boys.
Conclusion
That concludes the gift guide for those hard to buy for teen boys. I hope you were inspired by something on this list, and I hope you found it helpful. Be sure to check out my other Gift Guides. Until next time Treasure Hunters!
