It’s September, usually the month that we start thinking about fall. Unless it’s warm where you live. It’s still very warm here, we hit 95 yesterday. I’m not sad about it, I love the heat. It may be summer outside, but my house is transforming into fall. I’m going to share three easy ways to ease into fall, without pumpkins! Let’s get to it.

Art
Changing out art is an easy way to change your decor for each season. You may want to invest in some high-end pieces or original artwork. I have some original pieces in my collection, but the majority of the artwork that I use is from Etsy. I love the downloadable files that you can buy on Etsy. I love how easy it is to access your purchase. I just print the artwork on my home printer and frame. And, ya done!
When choosing your art, you do not need to choose fall or autumn scenes. You can get the “fall vibe” with color. I love warm, dark and moody colors in artwork for fall. My absolute favorite fall artwork is a piece I like to call “Mr. Fox”. He is so handsome, and screams fall.

Stems
Another easy way to change your decor for the seasons, is changing out your florals. You don’t have to go with traditional fall-colored leaves. Use colors to get the vibe that you’re going for. I have really been loving dried florals and stems. I usually find them at Hobby Lobby. Sometimes they’re even on sale! I do prefer a more realistic look when I’m choosing stems, but I also want them to be affordable.

Textiles
The third way to easy your home into fall is with textiles. I’m thinking of pillows and cozy throw blankets. I love changing out my pillow covers for the seasons. For fall, I like warm tones of brown, tan, green, with some pops of blue. I love plaid for fall, as well. You can also change out your bedding for warmer tones and thicker blankets (unless it’s still hot 😉).

Bonus: Scent
Here’s a bonus! You can change the season in your home with scent. I’m sure you have some amazing fall scented candles that you’re ready to light. I change out my pura for warm and woodsy scents. And I love an apple scented candle, whether it’s apple cider, just apple, apple and cedar. They’re all great!

Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed this soft launch into fall. My best advice is that you don’t have to go all into fall right away. You can select a few pieces to change the feel of your home and it will feel like fall. Color is the key. Let me know in the comments your favorite fall scent. You know I love to hear from you!
