There seems to be a chill in the air every morning. And the sun is never up when I leave for work anymore. The evenings are earlier, which could only mean one thing: Fall is coming. I’m personally note a huge fan of fall. I know so many people just love it, but I prefer summer over fall any day. I do enjoy the coziness of fall, though. To get a cozy look, I like my spaces to be more collected than styled. I like that lived-in look. That to me is cozy. I’m going to share some tips on how to style a collected coffee table for fall to get that lived-in/cozy look. So, let’s get to it!
Books
I always start with a base of books. They are perfect for stacking and layering. You may want to use your favorite coffee table books. You could also go with books with moody fall colors. I like to use books in my chosen colors, but also ones that are inspiring to me for the season.
Focal Point
This is going to be the highest part of the space. I’m using a dark-toned vase with purple berry stems. I love the way the colors work so well together. The vase sits on a stack of three books.
Vessel
For my fall coffee table, I’m using a stone bowl filled with velvet acorns. Can you believe the acorns are made with real acorns? They’re stunning. This bowl has a very good weight to it and it’s a nice neutral color. You could any bowl or tray to hold your decorative items.
Decorative Pieces
This is basically the filler. You can use any decor that you want. I’m using coaster (necessary item), pumpkin candle, pretty matches, candle snuffer, and a small bust of David. You can use more or less pieces, whatever your heart desires! You’ll notice that I have 3 main areas on my table. I like to use odd numbers, usually in threes because it’s more pleasing to the eye.
Conclusion
When creating a collected look for fall, think of cozy. Think of moody colors and groups of three. I always like to use a seasonal candle, books, some kind of greenery/stems, vessel, and other miscellaneous decor pieces. Until next time Treasure Hunters!
