Did you do a lot of projects in 2020? I feel like we accomplished our fair share of projects that year. One of my favorite projects that we did was creating built-ins for a media wall. I had some mismatched furniture for a couple of years and I wanted a new media cabinet. Well, I started scrolling IG and Pinterest and I came across this amazing media wall with shiplap and built-ins…I was sold! So, I told my husband for my birthday and Mother’s day I would like the media wall to be done. It took a little longer than expected, but I absolutely love the outcome! And the shelves are so fun to style for all the different seasons and holidays. I’m going to share some ideas for spring and the warmer months.

I actually created a Web Story with some cool styling videos. So check that out here.
Our Living room gets a lot of light. We have windows to the East and West. I love all the natural light that we get and we have no window treatments in the living room which allows beautiful views. Also, all the windows allow me to use real plants on my shelves!

I like to use a mixture of books (of course), art, vintage items, plants (real and fake), and other décor items. Most of the time, when I want to switch things up a bit, I just shop my home. I have a big ole stash of stuff that I consult before buying anything. Do you ever wonder how all these influencers on IG and Facebook are always changing things up? They probably have a big ole stash of stuff that they switch out. But then again, some may just buy a ton of new stuff all the time…I just can’t because I’m not made of money. 😂
Anywho, let’s take a closer look at the shelves and their items…
