Are you a pillow addict like me? 😂 If you are, this is the post for you! I love a cozy bed with lots of pillows. But sometimes it’s hard to decide on the combos of colors and patterns. I don’t have any real formula for you, because I use what I love….pink. 😆 I mean, are you surprised at that? In this post, I’m sharing some of the combos that I use and where to find the most affordable pillows and pillow covers. You will not find any pillows in this post that are overly expensive…because that is not how I roll. Let’s get started.
Bed combos
In our home we have a queen bed (master), full bed (guest), and a twin bed (son’s room). I have to admit, I typically only change out the pillows in our master bedroom. The guest room is also fun to change up, but my son’s room….do you think he cares about pillows? 😂 He does have some cute pillows, but they are not utilized.
Queen Bed
I typically go with the 3-2-1 combo for our bed. I do like to mix up the colors and patterns, but I stick to a similar color palette. You know it’s gonna be pink! Here are some of the combos for our queen bed, that I’ve used in the past.
Full Bed
We have an antique full-sized bed in our guest room. We don’t have a lot of guests and the room is quite small. So, a full bed is perfect for the space. I typically use similar pillow combos to a queen-sized bed.
Twin Bed (bunk)
My teen son still sleeps in a bunk (I’ve been wanting him to change to a full-sized regular bed…but he loves the extra room under the bunk for his desk.) So, it’s quite hard to make a bunk bed and he obviously doesn’t care about pillows. But, when we gave his room a refresh, I was able to sneak in some cute pillow combos.
Where to Find Affordable Pillows
I love all the different pillow patterns that are available on the market. There are some stunning fabrics! But with that, comes a high price tag that I’m not willing to pay. 😬 So, I typically shop at Target, Walmart, Homegoods, and Amazon. I have purchased some pillow covers from Etsy and IG shops and they are my pricier pillow covers. You definitely can get a high end look for less.
Different Patterns
Let’s look at a few different pattern combos you could try. I like to use solids, stripes, florals, and different textures. Try to find one pattern that you love and then go from there.
Final Thoughts
In reality, just go with what you love. Mix and match until you find something that goes with your current style. The beauty about pillows is that if you find affordable ones, it’s really easy to change up your style and decor for each season if that’s what you want to do. I’ll link my favorites below.
