Today, we’re going to talk about beaded garlands. We’ve all seen them in stores, they’ve been around for several years now. I used to think that a garland like this was only for Christmas and Holiday decor. But now, I use beaded garlands in my home for everyday decor.
Beaded Garlands in Decor
There are several ways to display beaded garlands in your home for everyday decor. I’ve used them on my mantel, entryway, shelf decor, and coffee table decor. You can wrap them around a vase or just plop them on top of a couple of vintage books. You can drape them over a gallery of mirrors or place them in a decorative vessel/bowl. Here are some ways I’ve displayed them in my home.
Types of Garlands
I would say the wood beaded garland is far more popular than any other version. I’ve made several different garland lengths for my home. The wood texture is nice to add variety for all types of home decor styles. You can find raw wood, stained wood, or even painted wood bead garlands. Find one that suits your tastes!
I love the color of sea glass beads. My sister gave me a glass beaded garland one year for either my birthday or Christmas and I just love it! I think the mixture of glass and wood is really pretty. I use them both in a large bowl on my coffee table. This is probably one of my favorite ways to style my coffee table!
I found this “beaded” garland in a cute little shop in Colorado, and I just love it for Christmas decor. It could also work for a fun Fourth of July look.
What are bead garlands for?
The main use, in my opinion, is for decorative use. I do use the wood beaded garland on a small Christmas Tree during the Holidays. It makes a nice and simple look with white lights. I almost always have a beaded garland (or two) on my mantel. I’ve been known to use more than that too! 😂
How do you display bead garlands?
So many different ways! You can place them in a bowl, add them to your coffee table or bookcase. You can wrap them around a vase or your Christmas tree. You can hang them in front of a gallery wall or on your mantel. Or even something else!

Making a beaded garland is very easy! I’ve made several wood beaded garlands. You can find the supplies at any craft store or online. This could be something that you do with your kids, as well. And there are so many different versions to make!
