This year, I’m all about simplifying décor. Now, that may not be true for Christmas…but it is for now. 😆 Do you remember the bats craze from a couple years ago? Well, I didn’t do any bats this year…even though, they’re still very popular. But, I still may put some outside. Even though, it’s the week before Halloween and our porch is still not decorated….that’s another story, named Ralph. IYKYK. 🐶
Built-ins
Let’s start with my favorite space to change things up for the seasons….our built-in shelves. I kept a lot of our regular shelf décor and just added a few spooky touches: skulls, witch hats, spiders and webs.
Entryway
Another favorite space to decorate is the entryway. I’ve had the table in this space for almost a year. I think we took down all the mirrors right before Christmas last year. It was fun to style this space for all the seasons. I kept my fall décor and added a few spooky touches: spiders and webs, skulls, and a mask for the artwork.
Fireplace
For our fireplace, I kept all the fall décor and just added spiders and webs. Then I added a DIY garland. I used twine and antique pictures attached to the twine with clothespins. I added little witch hats to a couple ladies. You can watch a tutorial here.
Kitchen and Dining
Finally, we’re going to move to the Dining Room and Kitchen. I’ll be doing a separate post with the Halloween Tablescape details soon. So stay tuned for that. Let’s take a look!
That concludes the simple spooky décor for Halloween 2021. I’m already thinking about Christmas and what I’m going to do! 😂 I typically start Christmas decorating right after Halloween (mainly because it takes so long and I like to enjoy it for more than 1 month). I hope you’ll stop by again!
