Russian Sage is a flowering herbaceous perennial plant and subshrub. It has square stems and grey-green leaves that yield a distinctive odor when crushed. It is best known for its flowers. Its flowering season extends from mid-summer to late October, with blue to violet blossoms arranged into showy, branched panicles.
I used a mix of clear stemware and glasses for the table. Each place setting has a cream plate and dish, gold flatware and a stripe napkin. I topped each dish off with a single sage stem.
Russian Sage is perfect for a summer tablescape as it grows easily in my area. I love it because it looks like lavender.
